The Hindi horror-comedy Munjya had an outstanding run at the box office. It is the fourth film in the Maddock Supernatural Universe, following Stree, Roohi, and Bhediya. The film opened to a slow start in the morning shows but witnessed significant growth in the evening, resulting in a healthy Day 1 box office collection.
Despite not featuring any popular star, Munjya surprised everyone with its remarkable growth at the box office in its opening weekend. The weekend numbers were impressive, with the film raking in a whopping Rs 20.04 crore nett at the box office. The industry is in shock after seeing these weekend numbers, and trade pundits expect the movie to make more in the days to come.
Directed by Marathi director Aditya Sarpotdar, the supernatural horror-comedy features a talented young cast, including Sharvari, Abhy Verma, Mona Singh, and Sathyaraj in pivotal roles. It will be interesting to see how the film performs from today.
