Director : Kala Sandeep

Producer : Lakshmi N Reddy

Music Director : Vijay Balaji

Starring : Maanas, Sanam Shetty

Kala Sandeep’s directorial venture. Premikudu, starring Manas and Sanam Shetty released yesterday. Let’s see how the movie fared.

Story:

Sri (Manas) is a jobless youth and aspires to fall in love with a rich girl and settle down in life. After a few failed attempts, Sri meets Krishna (Sanam Shetty).

He develops intense feelings towards Krishna and just as he is about to propose his love to her, he comes to know about how Krishna is stuck in some dangerous consequences. The rest of the story is all about how Sri saves Krishna and win her love.

Plus Points:

The major plus point of Premikudu is the first 20 minutes in the second half. Most of the story is revealed here and it is engaging. Hero Manas tries to salvage the lack luster narrative with his energetic acting. Shakalaka Shankar’s comedy in the first half is good.

Yesteryear hero Bhanu Chandar impresses even though he was given only a couple of scenes. The ‘Kousalya’ adult comedy episode will entertain those who long for such entertainment.

Minus Points:

Premikudu largely suffers from a confusing story. The director weaves a lifeless movie around an insipid plot line and the final proceedings end up boring the audiences.

While the first half is far from impressive, the second half shows some promise initially, but again sidetracks with repeated scenes after the first 20 minutes.

The so called ‘dangerous consequences’ the heroine is stuck into appear silly. Even her characterization lacks clarity. Songs act as major speed breakers.

Technical Aspects:-

There is nothing much to talk about in this section. Director Kala Sundeep selects a mediocre story line and even his narration is also unimpressive. Right from his screenplay to his execution, things go haywire in this film.

Two songs composed by Vijay Balaji are good. Editing is horrible as many scenes could have been chopped off to make the film crisp. Production values are decent.

Verdict:-

For a small budget film to be successful, it should have at least an unique story line or an interesting narration. Sadly, Premikudu does not have any of those going its way. Right from the concept to the execution, every thing is outdated and beaten to death. Not at all a worthy watch for this weekend.
