The riveting narrative offers a nail-biting experience throughout the movie to the audience. Young filmmaker Karthik Naren comes up with a meticulous screenplay. After a puzzle-ridden first half, the director cleverly unties each knot and unravels the mystery in the second half. The climax twist is quite unexpected and leaves the audience amazed. 16 is a perfect film for those who love crime thrillers.
Common audiences may find it tough to comprehend certain logics and plot twists in the story. This whodunnit thriller constantly poses several puzzles to the audience and it gets tiresome after a point. This movie has a limited appeal and it works mainly in A centres and not quite in B, C centres.
