Katamarayudu : Power Star Pawan Kalyan's latest mass action entertainer in Dolly's direction, Katamarayudu, released last Friday and registered decent numbers at the box-office thanks to Pawan's star power.

 

This is Pawan's best on-screen look in a long time. The Power Star looked like a million bucks in panchekattu and that royal moustache. Pawan's fights, punchlines and his trademark dances and romantic scenes with Shruti Haasan offered a huge treat for fans. The comedy generated by Ali in the film's first half worked out quite well.

 

The major minus point in the movie is its second half. After a decent first half, the film ends up being an average fare due to lack of entertainment and the routine story and narration. The pre-climax episode is quite predictable and even the climax is pale and lacks the required punch. Anup Rubens' background score in the second half leaves a lot to be desired.
