Horror comedy entertainer Stree 2, fronted by Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, is on track to become the new industry hit of Bollywood. The movie has already surpassed the 500 crore nett mark in India. On its third Monday, Stree 2 collected a solid 7 crore nett, showing no signs of slowdown.

Stree 2 has now added another feather to its cap by becoming the third Indian film to collect 200 crores nett in the PVR-INOX chain. The other two Indian films that achieved this feat are Yash’s KGF 2 and Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan. Stree 2 stands next only to Kalki 2898 AD among the top-grossers of Indian cinema in 2024.

Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurrana, and Abhishek Banerjee played supporting roles. Star hero Akshay Kumar played a key cameo, while another star, Varun Dhawan, reprised his role as Bhediya. Stree 2 is part of the Maddock Supernatural Universe produced by Dinesh Vijan and Jyoti Deshpande. Tamannaah Bhatia was featured in a special song.
