Stylish director Gautham Menon has turned producer with Nithin’s latest film Courier Boy Kalyan. We caught up with him for a bried interview today. Let’s see what he has to say.

Q) Why production ?

I came to the industry to produce films and am doing it from the past few years. When I heard this script, I thought it would be great if I myself produce it and joined hands with Guru films and ventured into production in Tollywood.

Q) Why is the film delayed for so long ?

As there were some problems with the Tamil version, we decided to stop the Telugu film too.

Q) Did this delay irritate Nithin ?

Absolutely not. Nithin himself is a producer and adjusted with the delay wonderfully. He is a producer’s delight.

Q) Whose idea was it to name the film Courier Boy Kalyan ?

It was completely Nithin’s idea to have that name as everyone knows that he is a big fan of Pawan Kalyan.

Q) How different are both the Tamil and Telugu versions ?

Jai is doing the Tamil version and yes, there are some difference in both the versions. There is a lot of comedy in the Tamil version where as romance has been added keeping in Nithin’s image in mind.

Q) Tell us about Nithin’s performance in the film ?

He has done a wonderful job and looks handsome in the film. He also took good care of the production and helped us a lot.

Q) What are your inputs for this film ?

After hearing Prem Sai’s script, I was involved with the editing part of the film and had my say about the final cut.

Q) Why do you always make either cop films or love stories ?

Laughs ! I wont be making cop films for some time now. Coming to romance, everyone loves that genre and I will keep making romantic films.

Q) How is your film with Chaitanya shaping up ?

We have already shot 60% of the film and it has come out really well. Chaitanya is doing a superb job in this action entertainer.

Q) Would there be a sequel for Ye Maaya Chesyave ?

Yes ! The Tamil version will have a sequel but not for the Telugu version as it ended on a happy note.
