Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja, is back to entertain the audience with his much awaited Kick 2. The film is up for a release this Friday and on this occasion, we caught up with a very lean and fit Ravi Teja for a detailed interview. Let’s see what he has to say.
Q) Firstly, why did you loose so much weight ?
My weight loss has nothing to do with any of my future projects. I did this for my personal fitness and lost 10 kilos to lead a healthier life.
Q) How different is Kick 2 going to be from Kick ?
Kick 2 is a completely different script from Kick. It is not a sequel and has its own story line and emotions.
Q) Are you tensed about the release. How do you deal with your success and failures ?
I am quite cool and have no tensions about the release. Coming to my career, I live in the present and do not take success to my head. I only think about my next film and do not go back in time and repent for my mistakes.
Q) What is this ‘comfort factor’ as shown in the trailers ?
Laughs ! You need to watch the film to find out what it is all about.
Q) Tell us about your character ?
I play the character of Robin Hood which is quite interesting and has all my trademark mannerisms.
Q) Why was this project delayed ?
As the post production formalities took time and Baahubali’s release happened, we decided to go to a further date.
Q) What are your expectations from this project ?
The industry is going through a superb phase as all the films are doing exceptionally well. I am supremely confident about the film’s success and am eagerly waiting for its result.
Q) Will there be Kick 3 as well ?
If everything goes on quite well and becomes a huge hit, there would definitely be Kick 3.
Q) Tell us your association with Surender Reddy ?
Both of us go a long way back. I knew Suri from the days he was an assistant director and it is always fun working with him.
Q) Is entertainment your priority. When will you experiment in your career ?
Yes ! As of now, my priority is only entertainment. Whenever I have experimented, things have not worked for me. Films like Na Autograph and Shambo Shvia Shambo are very close to me but did not do well commercially.
Q) What happened to your multi-starrer with Venkatesh ?
That project has been shelved as things did not work out at the last minute.
Q) What are the films that have impressed you in the recent past ?
Recently, I watched Cinema Choopista Maama and liked Raj Tarun’s performance especially. The film was written quite cleverly and had enough entertainment.
