Anasuya
After raising the heat on television, the hot and happening Anasuya is set to storm the film world with an important role in PVP’s Kshanam. On the eve of the film’s release, we caught up with her for an detailed interview. Let’s see what she has to say.

Q) What kind of response did you get after Soggade’s cameo ?

The response has been amazing. Right from the day one, I knew that I had only few scenes but I took it up as it was opposite my all time favourite hero Nagarjuna. The way my cameo was shot by Kalyan Krishna was superb and the response that I got is unforgettable.

Q) How did the transition from TV to films happen ?

Right from my television days, I have been offered films. I was very selective of these offers and never took them seriously. But one fine day when I was hosting some shows in the US, I received a text from Adavi Sesh regarding the role in Kshanam. Initially, I ignored it but after a while I bumped into him in a coffee shop and once again, he narrated me the script which I lapped it up.

Q) What made you accept the role ?

Everyone knows me as a glamour doll but the role which I was offered was quite tough and challenging. I felt that it was the right time for me to prove myself and show people that I can be versatile as well.

Q) Tell us about your role ?

I play a tough cop in the film which is quite crucial to the story. I worked very hard and also did a workshop for 15 days with the direction department. Initially, I found it very tough but after a while I got into the mood of the character and gave my best.

Q) Do you think the audience will accept you in such a serious role ?

Right now, I am also very tensed about the feedback for my role. Surely, the audience will be surprised to see me in such a serious role but I feel that they will accept me with open arms.

Q) How did you get into this field of glamour ?

My parents always wanted me to become an army officer. But during my college days everyone suggested me to get into modelling. Initially, I started my career as a news reader and then eventually shifted to anchoring.

Q) How does your family react to your glamorous avatar on television.

Both my husband and my family are quite supportive in this regard and do not interfere in any of these aspects. I am very thankful to them for understanding my profession and supporting me big time.

Q) What kind of roles do you want to do in the future ?

I am game for any kind of a role and want to break the jinx that I am just not a pretty face. I want everyone to notice me for my talent and not for my looks.

Q) How much do your attribute you success to your looks ?

Yes ! a lot of it actually. The first impression during a TV show or film is the looks. But after a while, it is how I carry the show or do my character is what clicks with everybody.

Q) Your are quite vocal when it comes to criticism. Why is that ?

Yes ! Once in a while I feel that I should hit back at my detractors. In today’s age and time, I feel that a woman should be bold enough to answer these comments. But on the other hand, I need to thank the media and all my well wishers who made a huge name in such a short span.
