Everyone knows that star anchor Suma has crooned for a song in the upcoming film Winner. The special song has caught on quite well with the audience and on this occasion, we caught up with Suma for a detailed interview. Let’s see what she has to say.

Q)What made you get into singing?

I was always busy with my anchoring and credit should go to Thaman for getting me into this. One fine day, he called me and said I should sing for him. Initially, I thought it was a prank call but later when Thaman said he was quite serious, I gave it a thought and finally said yes and reached Chennai.

Q)Did you know you would be singing for Anasuya?

No! the moment I landed in the recording studio Thaman said it was for Anasuya and I was even more thrilled to sing the song. The moment I finished singing, I right away called Anasuya and revealed to her that I sang the song. She was quite happy and was even more excited for the number.

Q)Tell us about the singing experience?

I just followed Thaman’s instructions and went with the flow. The only thing he suggested me was to sing with a proper tempo. Even though I had a ball singing the special song, poor Thaman had a tough time getting the right output from me.

Q)What was the reaction from your family?

My daughter was hugely excited after finding out that I sang for the film. She always felt that I sing badly but after listening to the song she was quite impressed which was quite relieving for me.

Q)Response from the industry?

I have a what’s app group which consists of singers like S P B Balu and many others. I personally revealed to Balu garu that I sang for a film and he was quite surprised to know the news and was quite happy for me.

Q)How do you think Anasuya will perform to this song?

With whatever I have seen, she had done a superb job and looks gorgeous. I also heard that Tej has danced wonderfully for this song and am quite excited to see how it comes on the screen.

Q)Association with Anasuya?

We go a long way and I knew Anasuya from the days she was not married. She has come a long way and we share a superb rapport between us and are very good friends.
