Anupama Parameswaran is flying high with good hits under her belt. Her new film Vunnadi Okkate Zindagi has opened to some decent reviews all over. On this occasion, we caught up with Anupama for a brief interview. Here is the transcript.

How is the response to your role?

My social media accounts have been flooded with messages since yesterday. The response has been amazing and I am loving every bit of it. Even though I have played many roles, the character of Maha is very close to my original character in life. I had a lot of fun portraying it and seeing such love only makes me even happier.

What made you accept the role?

When Kishore garu started narrating me the role, I fell in love with it. But the moment he said that I would die in the film, I had second thoughts. But once again, Kishore convinced me that all this will be showcased quite emotionally. I accepted the challenge and did the role. Luckily for me, the response has been amazing.

What do you look out for while signing a project?

For me, the story is the most important factor for any film. The script should convince me and then only I look out for my role. I have a strong feeling that when the script is satisfactory, things will fall in their place automatically.

How was it working with Kishore Tirumala?

Oh! I had a lovely time working with him. I enjoyed every moment during the making of this film and even went to the sets and helped the team when I did not have my shots.

How do you see your career shaping up?

I am loving every moment of it. I come from a very middle-class background and right from my childhood, I always wanted to be in films. After a lot of struggle, I have attained a certain position in the south and I am very proud of it.

Upcoming films?

As of now, I have two films lined up with Nani and Sai Dharam Tej.
