Allari Naresh and Sunil’s fun entertainer, Silly Fellows is scheduled for a September 7th release. On this occasion, we had a brief interview with Naresh. Here is the transcript.
Q) About your role in the film?
I’m playing a ladies tailor called Veera Babu whose goal is to become an MLA. To fulfill his dream, I use Sunil’s name in every critical situation. All of this is narrated in a very entertaining way.
Q) Your working experience with Sunil?
Actors like Brahmanandam and Sunil are masters in spontaneous comedy. Matching up to their timing is really tough but I and Sunil used to discuss every scene before we went to shoot well planned. I had a lovely time working with him after a long time.
Q) Why are you doing fewer films these days?
I myself decided to reduce films and do quality work. Moreover, my recent releases also failed at the box office and because of this, I am being very careful in selecting my films these days.
Q) Why did the makers choose Silly Fellows as the film’s title?
Initially, we thought of having Sudigadu-2 as the film’s title. But we had a doubt that audience may come to theaters by keeping that film in mind. Also, as our director has ‘S’ sentiment, we finalized Silly Fellows as the title.
Q) Few words about your role in Mahesh’s Maharshi?
It’s too early to discuss as we wrapped up a small schedule recently. From October, the unit is planning a 100 days outdoor schedule where key scenes will be shot. One thing I can confidently say is that my character in the film will bring me a good name for my career.
Q) Working experience with Mahesh Babu?
He is very friendly and most comfortable to work with. I’m enjoying his company on sets and look forward to spending more time with him.
Q) Will you continue doing supporting roles?
If the role in good and directors showcase me in a special way, I’m ready to do all kind of roles and am even planning to direct a film in 2020.
