Sharwanand-Sai Pallavi starrer, Padi Padi Leche Manasu is scheduled for a December 21st release. On this occasion, we had a detailed interview with Sharwanand. Here is the transcript.

Q) How confident are you about the film’s output?

I’m very happy that the film has come out well. I wish that the audience will also accept our film and make it a memorable one for our team.

Q) Is there any specific reason to shoot the film in Kolkatta?

As our director, Hanu thought to showcase the love story in a fresh backdrop, we picked up Kolkatta. We tried to explore the culture and ancient architecture of the city through this film. Moreover, sentiment wise, all our Telugu films with the same backdrop have turned out to be super hits. I hope PPLM will carry forward that sentiment.

Q) What is the film all about?

It’s a simple love story which Hanu designed keeping the personalities of the lead pair. The chemistry between hero and heroine will be the highlight of the film.

Q) Tell us about your role?

My character’s name is Suriya, who is a spontaneous person and goes according to his instinct. I play football but that is not narrated in the mainstream story.

Q) Hanu’s previous film LIE did not do well. What made you believe in him?

He is basically a good technician. I have known him for ten years and his style of narration is different when compared to other directors. I always knew that he can make love stories in a convincing manner so I chose him.

Q) Tell us about Sai Pallavi?

Sai Pallavi is a gifted actress. She is a very comfortable co-actor to work with. As the chemistry between the lead pair is the USP for our film, we both tried and gave out best.

Q) About Sunil’s role in the film?

His character is very good and will make a mark. I don’t want to reveal much about his role.

Q) Story behind your ponytail look?

Nothing. As I was growing hair from the past one year for this film I made the haircut. The ponytail look is just a casual one.

Q) Details about your next project?

It is a period gangster drama film set in 1980’s backdrop but has a contemporary connection. Sudheer Varma is the director. Fifty percent of the shoot is wrapped up.
