Adavallu Meeku Joharlu is up for a release this Friday and on this occasion, we caught up with Rashmika for a detailed interview. Here is the transcript.

About having Sai Pallavi and Keerthy Suresh as chief guests?

It was a fab idea to have two top heroines coming to support you. It was so good to see all of us on the screen and I only look up to them as they have achieved a lot in their career within a short time.

What attracted you to this film?

This film was offered to me during the first lockdown. The moment I started hearing the script, I kept on laughing. There are two hilarious scenes in the film which attracted me big time. Also, the presence of stars like Khushboo, Radhika, Kalyani, and many others made me say yes right away.

How was it acting with such noted actresses in the film?

It was a dream come true moment for me. We used to bond so much on the sets. But the moment the shot was called, they used to become their characters which are quite shocking. I observed each one of them quite closely and learned how to switch on and off during the shoot.

Tell us about your role in the film?

I play the role of Aadya who is a very today’s girl but gives a lot of importance to her family. She is grounded but does not like the drama that goes on in the family. It was a fun role which I did with a lot of ease.

Working with the likes of Sharwa?

Sharwa has been the sweetest star I have worked with so far. I am quite an active person and he is sober. Our chemistry has come out quite well. I used to complain about my food and Sharwa used to bring home-cooked food every day and took good care of me.

Working with Kishore Tirumala?

The first thing I asked him being a man how could you write a story that has so much importance to women. I had a blast working with him. His dialogues and emotions are deeply rooted and will be a huge plus in Adavallu Meeku Joharlu.

Acting with Khushboo who plays your mother?

Khushboo man is such a sweetheart and the way she carries herself on and off-screen is just superb. I used to admire her a lot during the shoot. All my scenes with her have come out quite well. We share very good chemistry in the film.

Future Projects?

I have completed two Hindi projects and have signed a Hindi biggie which I cannot disclose as of now. Apart from this, I also have Pushpa 2 in the pipeline.
