Nenu Meeku Kavalasina Vadini is Kiran Abbavam’s latest out which will be out this Friday. On this occasion, we caught up with Kiran for a brief interview. Here is the transcript.

Which aspect attracted you to this film?

It is none other than the story of the film. When I heard the script, I loved the way my role was weaved into a female-oriented script. The sensibilities attracted me the most and I okayed the film right away.

Tell us about your role in the film.

My role has two shades in it. One is a mass role and the other is a boy next door. These shades are nicely interlinked into the storyline by the director Kartheek. I had a lot of fun playing the role.

Working with the likes of Kodi Deepthi?

She has given her heart and soul to this film. Deepthi garu was the one who called me to her office to narrate the story. Since then, she has taken good care of me and the project until its release.

What are the highlights of the film?

The film is an out-and-out family drama with more importance to the heroine. Krishna Reddy plays a key role and his character arc is one of the highlights of the film. The sensitive emotions are also going to engage the audience.

About your meeting with Pawan Kalyan?

Meeting Pawan Kalyan is always a great moment. I am still drooling in those moments when he shook my hand and also spoke about my film SR Kalyanamandapam. His connection with the film gave us a new lease on life.

Out of your recent flops, which film disappointed you the most?

Sabastian is a film that disappointed me the most. I tried a very different subject and pinned high hopes on the film. But the moment I watched it, I understood it would disappoint big time and it did.

Future Plans

I have three films lined up which will be out in the next year and a half. For now, I am concentrating on mass and commercial subjects as I want the audience to enjoy my films on the big screen.
