Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja’s Ravanasura is all set to hit the big screens this Friday. Directed by Sudheer Varma, the action thriller is produced by Abhishek Nama and Ravi Teja under Abhishek Pictures and RT Teamworks. Harshavardhan Rameshwar and Bheems Ceciroleo scored the tunes. Srikanth Vissa penned the story. Sushanth, Sriram, Anu Emmanuel, Megha Akash, Faria Abdullah, Daksha Nagarkar, Poojitha Ponnada, Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma, and Sampath Raj played vital roles. Ahead of its release, we had a brief interaction with the producer Abhishek Nama, and here is the transcript.

What aspects of Srikanth Vissa’s story excited you the most?

Ravi Teja Garu didn’t do a film like Ravanasura till now. The audience will get shocked to see Ravi Teja Garu in a never before avatar. This is a new concept, and if it works out, many heroes will attempt new kinds of stories.

Previously only small films used to release on own basis. Now, what do you think is the reason behind own release of big films?

It all depends on the respective producer. We decided to release Ravanasura by ourselves from the very beginning. The belief that we have in our content made us go ahead with the own release. It doesn’t matter if the movie will be either profitable or not.

Till now, your team didn’t give a lead about the film’s plot. What’s your say on this?

There will be shocking and wow factors for thriller genre movies. If the audience gets to know about them beforehand, they can’t enjoy the film. Hence we didn’t reveal anything about the plot.

What value will Ravanasura add to Ravi Teja Garu’s filmography?

The audience will get shocked and thrilled after seeing Ravi Teja Garu. We are saying again that this is one of its kind role for the star actor. The interval portion will be extraordinary, and the movie will give a whole new experience to viewers.

What expectations do you have on Ravanasura as it is coming after Dhamaka, which raked in 100 crores?

Ravi Teja Garu has achieved many glorious victories in his career. What I feel is that when an artist tries something new and if the audience encourages it tremendously, that is the highest form of success. We get that wow feeling when we watch a movie like Kantara. But we will be apprehensive about trying those kinds of films in Telugu. But Ravi Teja will break all the barriers with Ravanasura.

Could you tell us about your future projects?

Prema Vimanam has been wrapped. It will release next month. Devil is nearing completion. We will release the movie within the next two to three months. There also will be a sequel to Devil. And in 2024, we will launch a total of 7 projects.
