Filmmaker Hansal Mehta created more impact in Indian cinema though he has only directed a handful of films. His web series Scam 1992 is easily among the best-ever shows made in India. Today the director made some severe remarks about the box office performance of movies, which grabbed the eyeballs.

Replying to a tweet that emphasized box office figures of movies, Hansal wrote that terrible films sometimes make more money and good films make less money. Hansal Mehta opined that the audience should focus on the film’s experience but not on the film’s collections. Hansal added that audience must see if the movie is worth their ticket money or not.

A netizen tagged Hansal Mehta and wrote that if a filmmaker can’t attract audiences with his film, then that concerned maker has failed in his job. Hansal, in reply to that netizen, wrote that the box office business of a film has got nothing to do with viewers unless they are investing in movies. A few are supporting Hansal’s statements, while a few others are criticizing the director.
