Hero Allu Arjun recently created history by becoming the first Telugu actor to win the National Award for Best Actor. The actor has won the top honor at the 69th National Film Awards for his explosive performance as the red sanders smuggler Pushpa Raj in Sukumar’s blockbuster pan-India action drama, Pushpa The Rise.
Allu Arjun threw a party for the Telugu film media last night to celebrate this special moment. In an interaction with the media personnel on the sidelines of the party, Allu Arjun opened up about the heavy competition and pressure from his colleagues and RRR stars, NTR and Ram Charan, in the race for the Best Actor award.
“There was no pressure from NTR and Charan. There were nearly 20 actors who were nominated for the Best Actor award from South. There were four actors from the Hindi film industry. More than the local competition, I was actually thinking about the competition nationally,” said the star hero.
