Upcoming village thriller Mangalavaaram, featuring Payal Rajput in the lead role, is set to open in cinemas this Friday in multiple Indian languages. Directed by Ajay Bhupathi, the film has generated high expectations with its impressive promos.
Ahead of the release, Director Ajay Bhupathi interacted with the local media. Contrary to speculation, Bhupathi clarified that Mangalavaaram contains no exposing, and the bold poster of Payal Rajput received positive feedback from industry figures.
Bhupathi explained that Payal was not his initial choice, but after auditioning numerous candidates, he chose her for the impactful role. He praised her for delivering a remarkable performance, unlike anything she had done before.
Bhupathi highlighted the film’s twists and turns, particularly the gripping last 45 minutes. He said that the climax will leave the audience with teary eyes. The film received an ‘A’ certificate from the censor board due to its sound design, not for any adult content or profanity, clarified the filmmaker.
Produced by A Creative Works and Mudhra Media Works, this pan-Indian production features an ensemble cast, including Nanditha Swetha, Divya Pillai, Azmal, Ravindra Vijay, Krishna Chaitanya, Ajay Gosh, Shravan Reddy, Srithej, and others.
