Hence, the performance of Manjummel Boys has come as a shocker to everyone.

Here comes the biggest surprise. Manjummel Boys is on track to surpass Superstar Rajinikanth’s Lal Salaam at the Kollywood box office. Though Rajinikanth appeared almost in a full-length role, Lal Salaam failed to make respectable numbers and collected just around 18 crores gross in Tamil Nadu.

Looking at the current trend, it will be a piece of cake for Manjummel Boys to outperform Rajini’s film. As of now, Manjummel Boys grossed over 5 crores in Tamilnadu, with yesterday being the single biggest day for the film with more than 1 crore gross. Manjummel Boys got a wide release across Tamilnadu from yesterday. This weekend is going to be massive for the movie with solid number of shows scheduled. The fact that there are no successful movies in Tamil currently is also helping this survival thriller.
