The first-look poster and the title of Dhanush’s next film, Kubera, piqued the interest of movie buffs. In the first look poster, director Sekhar Kammula presented Dhanush in tattered clothes, and the star actor was seen standing before an image featuring Lord Shiva and goddess Annapurna.

As per a report in national media, Dhanush is said to be playing the beggar in this much-anticipated flick. Reportedly, the film will revolve around Mumbai’s Dharavi slum, and the protagonist hails from this region. The report also mentioned that the hero will go on to become a powerful mafia don. From the report, it appears that Kubera is the story of a man rising from rags to riches, and the title indicates the same.

Tollywood King Nagarjuna is essaying a pivotal role, while national crush Rashmika Mandanna is the female lead. Bollywood actor Jim Sarabh is in for another important role. The movie is bankrolled by Suniel Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao under the banners of Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP and Amigos Creations. Sonali Narang is presenting the film. Devi Sri Prasad composes the music.
