Vishwak Sen’s Gangs of Godavari is scheduled for a grand release this Friday. The movie stars Anjali and Neha Sshetty as the female leads. Krishna Chaitanya is the director. A grand pre-release event was held in Hyderabad, and God of Masses Balakrishna graced it as the chief guest.

Vishwak Sen said, “While shooting for Gangs of Godavari, I got injured by falling from a lorry, but luckily, nothing happened to me. Balayya Garu called me and started crying. He said he was worried about me. After many years, tears rolled down my eyes with that phone call. Whatever I am today is due to Falaknuma Das. I thank all the directors and producers who stood by my side. In my next five years, you will see the beast in me.”

Vishwak Sen added, “Gangs of Godavari is a commercial film with a new approach. Balayya Garu said that our film is an old wine in a new bottle, and that’s the best compliment I have received for this film. Naga Vamsi Garu is the best producer I have ever worked with. Gangs of Godavari has a good recall value. It will stay in your hearts.”

“I saw a film called Iraivi in which Anjali did an amazing job. After listening to the script, Anjali came to my mind for Rathnamala’s character. What Neelambhari’s character is to Ramya Krishna Garu, Bujji’s character will be for Neha Sshetty. I hope the film remains the history books.”
