It was first reported way back in 2018 that veteran script writer Vijayendra Prasad of the Baahubali franchise and RRR fame will be penning the script for an ambitious film that traces the history of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). The film, supposed to be bankrolled by a BJP leader and released ahead of the 2019 general elections, was put on hold due to reasons unknown.
A couple of years ago, Vijayendra Prasad, who was also entrusted with the responsibility of directing the film on the RSS, revealed in a media interaction that the film would be released ahead of the 2024 general elections. However, the film is yet to go on floors. But the latest updates reveal that Vijayendra Prasad has completed the script after extensive research, and the project is all set to go on floors in the second half of this year.
Furthermore, a whopping Rs 450 crore has been allotted to make this film a memorable milestone in the RSS’ history. The movie will be released in 2025 to coincide with the RSS’ centenary celebrations. The film will feature notable stars ranging from Bollywood to the Southern film industries. More details about the film’s cast and crew will be out soon.
