It’s been 11 days since Prabhas and Deepika Padukone-starrer sci-fi drama Kalki 2898 AD was released and emerged as a humongous blockbuster. Director Nag Ashwin has wowed fans and movie lovers with his splendid fusion of Mahabharata and sci-fi extravaganza.
The unanimous positive buzz around Kalki 2898 AD is reflecting in the film’s thumping box office collection on a daily basis. The latest we hear is that Kalki has surpassed the Rs 80 crore share (incl GST) milestone in the Nizam region on its 11th day. The film has beaten top Nizam grossers such as Salaar and Baahubali 2 and is next only to RRR (Rs 112 crore) in Nizam.
Worldwide, Kalki 2898 AD collected a whopping share of about Rs 421 crore. This includes the Rs 141 crore share from the twin Telugu states. In North America, the film has stormed into the $16 million club and has set its eyes on Baahubali The Conclusion’s lifetime gross record.
