The much-awaited Union Budget for the financial year 2024 was introduced in Parliament by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman this morning. While the budget has been getting mixed reactions from all quarters of the country, Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan had some nice things to say about it.

The Janasena President took to X and tweeted a lengthy post, thanking PM Modi, the Finance Minister, and the central government for the “pivotal financial support” announced in Budget 2024 for Andhra Pradesh. Stating that commitment to fulfill the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, including the completion of the long-awaited Polavaram project, is the need of the hour for the development of AP, Pawan said that the union government’s “monumental support” provides a ray of hope and a significant leap towards the all-round progress of Andhra Pradesh.

Pawan went on to appreciate the centre for its unwavering support in recognizing AP’s need for a capital, boosting industrial growth, and aiding backward regions. “The allocation of Rs15,000 crore for this financial year, with future provisions, underscores a deep understanding of our challenges and a visionary approach to our future. These proactive steps inspire confidence and optimism among the people of Andhra Pradesh,” Pawan concluded.
