The promotions for Superstar Rajinikanth’s most eagerly awaited action drama, Vettaiyan, are all set to kick-start with the film’s first single launch this evening. The film is being directed by Suriya’s Jai Bhim fame, TJ Gnanavel. The talented director interacted with the media earlier today and heaped praise on the veteran stalwart.

Gnanavel said, “Rajini sir is not just a Superstar but a great actor too. I tried to extract the actor in him in Vettaiyan. “Rajini sir does whatever his director asks, even though he has any difference of opinion. There were instances when I asked him for a late-night shoot at 2 AM. Rajini sir surprised me by coming to the set on time.”

Vettaiyan marks the coming together of Rajini and Amitabh Bachchan after over 3 decades. The film also features Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, Rana Daggubati, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, and others in crucial roles. Lyca Productions banner is bankrolling this prestigious project, while Anirudh Ravichander is composing the soundtrack. The film is slated for release on October 10 in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi.
