Nageswara Rao received numerous accolades, including seven Nandi Awards, five Filmfare Awards South, and a Tamil Nadu State Film Award. He was honored with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan, and Padma Shri for his contributions to art and cinema.
