Prabhas, the Tollywood icon, hardly needs an introduction as he continues to deliver one blockbuster after another. His latest release, the mythological sci-fi film Kalki 2898 AD, directed by Nag Ashwin, has stirred excitement across the industry. However, not everyone was impressed, including Bollywood actor Arshad Warsi.

Last month, the Jolly LLB 3 actor made headlines when, during an interview, he called Prabhas a “joker,” leading to an outcry from Prabhas’ fans and several celebrities from the South. The comment sparked widespread anger, but Arshad Warsi finally addressed the situation at the 2024 IIFA Awards.

“Everybody has their own point of view, and people like to interpret noise. I spoke about the character, not the person. Prabhas is a brilliant actor, and he has proved himself again and again, and we know about it. And, when we give a bad character to a good actor, it’s heartbreaking for the audience,” Warsi clarified.

The Munna Bhai actor also shared his happiness at seeing actors from different regions come together, breaking language barriers in the industry. It remains to be seen if his recent clarification will help calm the storm of backlash he has faced.
