The much-awaited teaser for Mega hero Varun Tej’s high-budget period gangster drama, Matka, was unveiled this evening at a special event in Vijayawada. The teaser was loaded with rich production values and an intriguing storyline and also presented Varun Tej in a never-before-seen avatar of a gangster.
Varun Tej made some interesting statements during Matka’s teaser launch. He said that there were certain mistakes in his previous three movies, Ghani, Gandeevadhari Arjuna, and Operation Valentine. The actor went on to say that many people had asked him why he was not coming up with a character like Gaddalakonda Ganesh. “Matka will be a mass feast for those who wanted to see me in characters like Gaddalakonda Ganesh,” said Varun. He went on to say that his fans will feel proud of the movie.
Matka also features the happening young actress Meenakshi Chaudhary, Bollywood actress Nora Fatehi, and popular character artiste Ravi Shankar in lead roles. Palasa 1978 fame Karuna Kumar is the director, while Dr. Vijender Reddy Teegala and Rajani Thalluri are bankrolling the project. G.V. Prakash Kumar is the film’s music composer. Matka is scheduled for its theatrical release on November 14 in multiple languages.
