Tollywood star Jr NTR’s Devara: Part 1 hit theatres on September 27, 2024, earning favorable reviews from both critics and audiences. Directed by Siva Koratala, the film grossed an impressive Rs. 450 crore, with Janhvi Kapoor starring as the female lead.

One of the film’s most anticipated tracks, the mass duet Daavudi, was initially absent from the first week’s screenings but was later added following audience demand. In a recent interview, Jr NTR opened up about the decision to omit the song from the theatrical release.

He explained that both he and editor Sreekar Prasad felt the song disrupted the flow of the serious storyline, prompting them to remove it. However, they decided to include it later to satisfy fans.

Devara also features Saif Ali Khan in a menacing role, alongside Srikanth, Prakash Raj, Ajay, and Murali Sharma in pivotal parts. Produced by NTR Arts in collaboration with Yuvasudha Arts, this pan-Indian project is backed by a powerful score from Anirudh Ravichander.
