Star heroine Samantha and acclaimed director Trivikram Srinivas were the chief guests at the pre-release event of Bollywood star Alia Bhatt’s soon-to-release action drama, Jigra, in Hyderabad. Producer by Karan Johar and directed by Vasan Bala, Jigra is slated for release on October 11 in Hindi and Telugu, with Rana Daggubati presenting the Telugu version.
Speaking at the event, Alia Bhatt was all praise for Samantha. “My dearest Samantha, you are a hero on and off screen. I have so much admiration for your talent, for your resilience, for your strength. It’s not easy to be a woman in a man’s world, but you have surpassed gender,” said Alia.
Alia went on to say, “I’m not doing this for promotion, Trivikram sir, I think Samantha and I should be in a film written and directed by you. They say usually actresses compete with each other, but there’s no such thing.” “I’m so, so grateful that today I have a pan-India superstar here to support my film and say such kind words,” Alia said amid loud cheers from fans, while Samantha was seen getting emotional.
