Popular Kollywood star Thalapathy Vijay launched his political party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) in February this year. Maanaaduu, Vijay’s first-ever public meeting as a political leader, was held in the last week of October, and it was a thumping success, with close to 10 lakh people in attendance.

As per the latest reports, Vijay will embark on a statewide political tour to promote TVK. The tour will kick off in December. The tour will be flagged off in Coimbatore on December 2 and conclude with a major public rally in Tirunelveli on December 27. Adding to this, it is being speculated that Vijay is planning to launch a TV channel to take his party closer to the masses.

Earlier today, Vijay gave instructions to his party leadership to include more women to represent the party. Vijay also urged his partymen and fans to not indulge in unnecessary criticism of opposition leaders without having solid proof of any wrongdoings. During his Maanaaduu speech, Vijay announced that Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam will contest in all the 231 seats in Tamil Nadu.
