Vijay Deverakonda has three upcoming movies, with one currently in production: VD 12, directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri. Another project, VD 14, directed by Rahul Sankrityan and announced on Vijay Deverakonda’s birthday, has recently garnered renewed attention.

There’s exciting buzz on social media that the VD 14 team is in talks with South African actor Arnold Vosloo, who is widely remembered for his iconic villainous role in The Mummy (1999) and The Mummy Returns (2001). Vosloo is reportedly being considered for a crucial part in the movie, although details about his role are still under wraps. Negotiations are in the final stages, and an official announcement from the team is expected soon.

If confirmed, this would mark the second instance of an international star joining a Vijay Deverakonda film, following boxing legend Mike Tyson’s appearance in Liger. Although Liger faced a major setback at the box office, fans are curious to see how Rahul Sankrityan will craft Vosloo’s character in VD 14.

Set as a period war drama, VD 14 will tell the story of a short-lived king, adding a historical layer to Vijay Deverakonda’s repertoire. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, this high-budget film is set to begin shooting in early 2025.
