Vishnu Manchu has put his heart and soul into the devotional action drama Kannappa. He has spent many years on this project, researching legend Kannappa’s story and fine-tuning the script. Finally, the project went on floors, and Vishnu pulled off a casting coup by bringing on board Prabhas, Akshay Kumar, Mohanlal, and Kajal Aggarwal.

Here is the update that you all have been waiting for. This prestigious project of Vishnu Manchu will hit the big screens on April 25, 2025. The team unveiled a poster showcasing a trident to reveal the release date. Initially, the film was planned for December release, but now the makers locked the Summer 2025 release. Vishnu is taking utmost care not just in production but also in the promotional campaign.

The actor launched the teaser at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival, which helped the film gain solid buzz. Kannappa’s story is vast such that the team had to rope in a massive supporting cast as well. The makers have been unveiling character posters of supporting cast one by one for the last few days.

This will help us get familiarised with the characters and Kannappa’s world. Preity Mukundhan plays Vishnu’s romantic interest. Mukesh Kumar Singh, who directed the famous mythological show Mahabharat that aired on Star Plus, is helming this flick. Apart from playing a crucial role, legendary Mohan Babu is also producing this biggie under the banner of 24 Frames Factory.
