Tamil filmmaker Vignesh Shivan was supposed to do a film with Ajith, but the project didn’t go on floors for multiple reasons. He is now directing a sci-fi entertainer, Love Insurance Company (LIK). The movie stars Pradeep Ranganathan in the lead role. In a recent roundtable discussion, Vignesh Shivan revealed a shocking fact about his film.

Vignesh Shivan said, “Sivakarthikeyan was the initial choice to play the lead role in LIK. It is a high budget film set in the future. However, the project didn’t take off with Sivakarthikeyan. The movie is set in the future, but the producer asked me why I can’t make it in the present. The producer was worried that the budget would overshoot as the movie was futuristic. I didn’t want to compromise on my vision.”

Vignesh Shivan added, “If someone asks you to make Baahubali in the present time, how can you do it?” The project is now being bankrolled jointly by Nayanthara and Seven Screen Studio. Love Insurance Kompany stars Krithi Shetty as the female lead. SJ Suryah is essaying a key role. Anirudh is composing the tunes.
