After releasing back-to-back films last year, Shah Rukh Khan took a break from films to spend time with family. He will next be seen in the gangster action drama King. The film is special for Bollywood Baadshah because it marks the silver screen debut of his daughter, Suhana Khan.
Initially, Sujoy Ghosh came on board as the director, but now the latest update states that Sujoy Ghosh isn’t directing the project. According to a report in Pink Villa, Pathaan director Siddharth Anand has been roped in as the director. Earlier it was said that Siddharth Anand will oversee King’s action sequences, but now he is reportedly given the complete responsibility of the project.
The report mentioned, “Siddharth Anand and his team have done several rounds of recce all across the globe and designed path-breaking action sequences with stunt directors having international fame. King will have the most explosive action ever in Hindi cinema . Every character will have a great arc.”
It is further said that the makers are looking to cast a star heroine opposite SRK. The shoot is expected to commence in March 2025 and the makers are eyeing a 2026 release. Abhishek Bachhan plays the antagonist. Red Chillies Entertainment will bankroll this flick.
