Director Hasith and actor Sree Vishnu’s upcoming film Swag is set to release in theatres on October 4, 2024. The movie stars Ritu Varma and Meera Jasmine in other key roles. As the release date approaches, he shared details about the film with the media.

He explained that Swag explores different generations, featuring characters from the present day, the ’90s, and the ’70s. While the title may sound modern, he emphasised that the film is deeply rooted in Telugu culture.

Hasith clarified that the film isn’t designed to convey a specific message. Instead, it delves into the timeless conflict between men and women, connecting it to the idea of lineage and showing how these issues have changed over time.

The film centres around four main characters, each with their own storylines. He focused on creating a clear and engaging screenplay to keep audiences entertained. He praised Sri Vishnu’s performance, highlighting how it will resonate with viewers while naturally incorporating humour.

He also commended Ritu Varma for her strong portrayal of the queen of the Vindhyamra dynasty. Regarding the music, he mentioned that Vivek Sagar’s background score is expected to enhance the film’s emotional impact.
