Actor Adivi Sesh is turning a year older tomorrow, and on this occasion, he interacted with the media. In his interaction, he spoke about Goodachari, the film with Shruti Haasan, and a few other things. Here is the transcript.

How is 2023 so far? You haven’t released any film this year. What do you have to say about it?

I spent the entire year preparing for Goodachari 2 and the film with Shruti Haasan. I am not feeling that I haven’t released a film this year. Every pace bowler has a different speed (chuckles). Everyone has their own speed. Whatever I do, it needs to be exceptional.

How is your journey so far in the industry?

How I am enjoying the journey is the most important thing. In the initial stages of my career, I was always thinking about something. While doing so, I didn’t enjoy the process. Now, I want to enjoy everything that I do. Hence, I don’t like to take pressure.

Your upcoming films are releasing in Hindi. Major was a big hit there. Will all your films be released in Hindi from hereon?

It depends on the subject. G2 is a massive film, and the story takes place in five countries. The film’s span is huge and will appeal to Hindi audiences. The movie that I am doing with Shruti Haasan will be shot both in Telugu and Hindi. The treatment of every scene will be different based on culture. We are taking immense care regarding the casting choice. We want actors who are good at Telugu and Hindi.

You are also involved in the writing department. How much will you be involved in the direction?

I feel I am a good actor, a great writer, and a bad director (chuckles). As an actor, I go by what my heart says. But as a director, I need to use my brain. That is a different skill set. I prefer acting and writing. The stories that I write are for me only.

We heard you rejected a big offer recently. Is it true?

We can earn money in the industry and make good films. But only a handful of people will get the chance to make money through good films. I am not interested in money. My friends don’t like this aspect of me. Hence, I am always concerned about making and being part of good films. I do films selectively, and I think about how audiences will feel about my movies.

Tell us about the film with Shruti Haasan.

It’s a very intense action love story. It is a highly emotional, angry film. It’s a new genre film. During the shoot of Kshanam, Shaneil Deo showed me a short film. He told me that the short film was selected for Cannes Film Festival. I was surprised by his talent, and that’s when I decided to make him a director.
