Published on Nov 6, 2024 4:04 pm IST

Dhoom Dhaam is a family and love story starring Chetan Krishna and Hebah Patel, with Sai Kumar, Vennela Kishore, Prithviraj, and Goparaju Ramana in supporting roles. Directed by Sai Kishore Macha and produced by MS Ram Kumar under Friday Framework Works, the film is set for a big release this Friday. The story and screenplay are written by Gopi Mohan. In a recent interview, Chetan Krishna shared his thoughts on the movie. Here is the transcript.

Tell us about your journey

Acting has always been my passion, and I have worked in films like First Rank Raju, Beach Road Chetan, Rojulu Maaray, and Gulf, which helped me gain recognition. I have always admired Gopi Mohan’s scripts, and with Dhoom Dhaam, we aimed to make something really big.

What’s the main theme of Dhoom Dhaam?

The film focuses on the bond between a father and his son, both of whom are willing to do anything for each other. It blends key commercial elements into the story, where the father desires his son’s success in every aspect, but the son’s mischievous nature creates complications. As the story unfolds, he attempts to fix a problem he caused in a girl’s life due to his actions.

Tell us about your experience working with others

The film features some great artists, and I worked hard to match their performance levels. Vennela Kishore’s comic timing was challenging to match, especially during the wedding chaos in the second half. The laughter from the audience during the Vizag premiere was amazing.

Tell us more about Vennela Kishore and Hebah Patel

I shared great chemistry with Vennela Kishore, and he was very supportive throughout the shoot. It was also a pleasure working with Hebah Patel, who brings a lot of energy and fully transforms into her character once the camera starts.

How do you feel about Dhoom Dhaam with your father’s expectations?

My father always wanted me to succeed, and Dhoom Dhaam was made on a large scale. With Mythri Movie Makers backing the film and Gopi Sundar’s hit music, we are set for a strong release, despite concerns about smaller dubbed films taking more screens.

What are your plans next?

After Dhoom Dhaam releases, I will start planning my next project.
