Victory Venkatesh’s Sankranthiki Vasthunam is hitting the big screens this Sankranthi. The movie, directed by Anil Ravipudi, features Aishwarya Rajesh and Meenakshi Chaudhary as the female leads. Dil Raju and Shirish produced this flick under the banner of SVC Productions. Ahead of the release, Meenakshi Chaudhary interacted with the media, and here is the transcript.

How are you feeling being part of Sankranthiki Vasthunam?

I am very elated and grateful since this is my first comedy film. Playing the cop role in the comedy space is very exciting. It will be a new experience for the audience, too. I also did some action sequences in the film.

What homework did you do to play the cop role?

It’s my dream to play a cop, and I am very happy that I achieved it at the very beginning of my career. We didn’t take any references. My dad is an army officer, so I know how an officer’s body language should look. I did some homework, too.

How was it working with Venkatesh Garu?

It was a superb experience. He is a wonderful human who always remains happy. His comedy timing is great. Venky sir, along with Anil Ravipudi, has delivered two hits already. The atmosphere on the sets was very positive. Venkatesh Garu is a fit and energetic person, and we had a very good time working for Sankranthiki Vasthunam.

Your team planned the promotions in a unique way. How is the experience?

Luckily, I have time to promote this film. Our team came up with unique ideas to promote the film. It was such a fun experience to do a skit portraying Venky Garu’s iconic roles.

What genre does Sankranthiki Vasthunam belong to?

This is a family subject. Comedy steals the show in Sankranthiki Vasthunam. It’s a clean family entertainer. Apart from the fun scenes, the film also has emotions.

Tell us about your upcoming projects. 

I am doing a film with Naveen Polishetty. I have signed two more projects, which will be announced soon. I believe it will be a great year for me professionally.
