Rakul Preet is the center of attraction of her new release Jaya Janaki Nayaka. 123telugu caught up with her for a detailed interview and let’s see what she has to say.

How different will this film be from your previous movies?

JJN will be a completely different film for me as it is a complete love story with Boyapati’s style of action embedded in it. There are a lot of realistic emotions involved and a hard hitting love story has not come out in the recent past.

About your role in the film?

I play the role of Janaki who is a happy go lucky college girl. Her life turns upside down all of a sudden and my character is showcased in depression most of the time because of my problems. How did she come out and how the hero helps her out is the whole story about.

How difficult was to portray such a role?

It was very difficult as most of the scenes required me to be depressed and disappointed. It was very hard to be normal and I used to call my mom regularly to get back to my regular life once the strenuous shoot was done.

Which is your favorite love story in the recent times?

I just loved Nani’s Ninnu Kori and had tears in my eyes while watching the film. I congratulated Nani and told him how much his film and performance moved me throughout.

Work experience with Boyapati?

As this is my second film, it was quite easy for me. He is a kind of director who enacts every scene and asks us to do it like that. I just followed his instructions and the output has been quite impressive. He is the most intelligent director whom I have worked to date.

Acting with a newcomer like Bellamkonda Sreenivas?

He is a very sincere actor and does what is told to him. This is a very crucial film for him and he has worked very hard on his body and performance and will surely surprise everyone.

The competition is getting tough with new heroines like Nivetha and Sai Pallavi. What do you have to say?

I saw Ninnu Kori and loved Nivetha’s performance. I am yet to see Fidaa but have heard a lot about Sai Pallavi. It’s a very good sign that new talent is coming in but I feel that everyone has their own strengths. What one can do the other cannot.

About Pawan Kalyan’s project?

Even I read the reports that I have signed a film with Pawan. All these are just rumors and the day I sign one, I will be the first to let you all know. Working with him will be a dream and I am looking forward to it.
