Actress Shriya Saran was seen recently in the Allari Naresh and Sharwanand starrer ‘Nuvva Nena’. The movie has been directed by Narayan and Shriya is pretty happy with the response she has been getting. She participated in a success meet at the FNCC today and Shreya had some interesting things to share. Here is the transcript of that session for you folks.

Q. You have worked with two heroes in this film. Who has done a better job and how is working with them?
A. Allari Naresh is a master at doing comedy roles and his super track record speaks for him. Sharwanand is a very good actor and he has proved himself in some solid roles in the past. It was good working with them. I had a lot of fun working with Brahmanandam garu and Ali as well.

Q. How is the public response to the film ‘Nuvva Nena’?
A. The movie has been getting a positive response from all quarters and people are appreciating me for a fine performance. People have been expressing their happiness at watching a good comedy movie after a long time.

Q. The movie looks to be heavily inspired by the film ‘Deewana Mastana’. Was this movie taken as an inspiration?
A. The director has taken that movie as an inspiration but we have made some changes in the story and the treatment. Watch the film with an open mind and you will like it.

Q. What kind of roles do you like in general?
A. I prefer romantic comedy roles. I have worked with almost all the top heroes of the industry and most of my roles were in action films or love stories. This is the first time that I have acted in a comedy film and it gave me great satisfaction.

Q. You have been in the industry for more than a decade now. How is your command over the Telugu language?
A. I have been trying my best to pick up the language and it is an ongoing process. Whenever people meet me, they automatically switch over to either English or Hindi and that hampers my learning process. People keep calling me Shreya. It is Shriya and I keep telling that repeatedly but people still revert back to Shreya. I can understand the language perfectly, but I have difficulty speaking.

Q. What is your favourite song from the film?
A. I absolutely love the blackberry song and it is my favourite from this movie. That song was shot very well by the director. I also like the ‘Neeli Neeli Kanule’ song from the movie. Bheems has given some super music for this film.

Q. What are your upcoming projects?
A. I am working for Deepa Mehta’s ‘Midnight’s Children’ and that will release this year. I am also working in a new Telugu film and I will reveal the details to you soon.
