Popular Tamil actor-filmmaker Dhanush’s prestigious 50th film went on floors last week. Apart from directing the movie, Dhanush will also be essaying a crucial role in it. The actor will be sporting a tonsured head in this as-yet-untitled film and images of his look after his Tirupati visit went viral on social media last week.

Now, the latest buzz in the Tamil film circles is that acclaimed Tamil filmmaker and Dhanush’s elder brother Selvaraghavan will be playing a key role in D50. However, details of Selva’s character in the movie have been kept under wraps. Selva turned actor with Thalapathy Vijay’s Beast. He went on to act in Tamil movies such as Saani Kaayidham, Naane Varuvean, Bakasuran, Farhana and Mark Antony.

D50 already features an ensemble cast comprising Vishnu Vishal, Dushara Vijayan, Kalidas Jayaraman, Sundeep Kishan and SJ Suryah in lead roles. D50 marks Dhanush’s second directorial project after Power Paandi. The film is touted as an action drama set in the North Madras milieu. AR Rahman is expected to score for this Sun Pictures production.
