Fans of Indian cinema’s acting greats, Mammootty, Kamal Haasan, and Mohanlal, are in for a massive treat this monsoon season. The legends have joined forces for the upcoming Malayalam language anthology series, Manorathangal. The film’s trailer was unveiled recently, and fans couldn’t stop going gaga over it.
Manorathangal is based on a collection of short stories written by the iconic Malayalam author and filmmaker, MT Vasudevan Nair. Veteran filmmaker Priyadarshan is the showrunner for this 9-part anthology series, which also features Fahadh Faasil, Parvathy, Biju Menon, Madhoo, Asif Ali, Nadiya, Aparna Balamurali, and several other prominent Malayalam and Tamil actors in key roles.
The trailer starts off with Kamal speaking in Malayalam and talking about MT Vasudevan Nair’s legacy. Each segment of the series is different and presents a wide array of actors in never-before-seen avatars. Eight prominent directors, including Priyadarshan and Santhosh Sivan, helmed this prestigious project. The series will be available for streaming on ZEE5 from August 15.
