Silambarasan (Simbu) is one of the bankable stars right now in Kollywood. His recent films Maanadu, Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu and Pathu Thala did decent business at the box office. Maanadu is the film with which he kick-started his second innings after his body transformation.

There are strong rumours about his milestone 50th film that the renowned director Sudha Kongara is the front runner to direct Simbu’s milestone film. Report is that after completing their present commitments, both Simbu and Sudha Kongara will join hands for a massive action entertainer, and one of the leading production houses is going to produce this movie. Let’s wait for the official confirmation from the team.

On the other hand, Simbu is currently busy with Mani Ratnam’s Thug Life, where Ulaga Nayagan Kamal Haasan plays the lead role. The film features an ensemble cast that includes Trisha Krishnan, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Gautham Karthik, Nasser, Ali Fazal, and Pankaj Tripathi in pivotal roles. With Kamal Haasan, Mani Ratnam, R. Mahendran, and Siva Ananth as the producers and A R Rahman as the music director, Thug Life is projected to hit the screens by the end of this year.
