The popular Bollywood franchise, Jolly LLB, has encountered legal trouble with its third installment (Jolly LLB 3), currently filming in Ajmer, Rajasthan, starring Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi in lead roles, with Subhash Kapoor at the helm as director.
According to reports, a legal case has been filed against the movie, alleging damage to the integrity of the judiciary. Chandrabhan, President of the District Bar Association, has lodged a complaint against the actors, director, and producer of Jolly LLB 3. The hearing for this case is scheduled for today. Chandrabhan has also requested a halt to the film’s shoot, citing concerns over the mockery of the judicial system in the previous two parts.
Expressing his concerns, Chandrabhan Singh Rath stated that after viewing the first two installments of Jolly LLB, it appeared to him that the filmmakers, directors, and actors had shown a lack of respect for the country’s judiciary.
He further added that the ongoing shooting of Jolly LLB 3 in various locations around Ajmer, including the district magistrate’s office, seemed to further disregard the dignity and respect of the judiciary, including judges. The future of Jolly LLB 3 remains uncertain as legal proceedings unfold, raising questions about its portrayal of the judiciary and the consequences it may face.
