The teaser of Allari Naresh’s new film, Aa Okkati Adakku, was unveiled today at an event at Prasad Labs in Hyderabad. A reporter asked Naresh why the latter hasn’t been making more comedy films lately.
Allari Naresh said,” I can’t make a film like Kithakithalu today because people will call it body shaming. We can’t talk about a person’s color too. People are becoming more sensitive. It’s difficult to create comedy that doesn’t offend anyone. Hence, I am taking more time to zero in on fun entertainers.”
Allari Naresh continued, “It’s relatively easy to work on comedy films because the working days will be less. A few approached me with comedy scripts but were filled with spoof and parody material. A few scripts even have double-meaning dialogues. Family audiences will prefer watching comedy entertainers, and they shouldn’t feel uncomfortable at any point. This is what my father taught me. I will do films with healthy comedy.”
