Actress Anjali, who will appear next in Ram Charan’s Game Changer, recently portrayed a prostitute named Pushpa in the web series Bahishkarana, released on July 19, 2024, on ZEE5.

The series has received a positive response from audiences, and the team celebrated its success with a meet in Hyderabad, where Anjali expressed her gratitude for the show’s success. She also spoke about the challenges of performing bold scenes, admitting she initially felt uncomfortable.

“I experienced a lot of emotions after shooting one of the steamy scenes in Bahishkarana,” Anjali reveals. “It was possibly because it was my first time doing such a scene, or maybe I wasn’t mentally prepared. I wasn’t eager to perform it, but it was necessary. I ended up breaking down afterward; it was a challenging and draining experience,” she confesses, noting the psychological impact of intimate scenes.

Anjali shared that she was mindful of her portrayal and worked diligently on the character’s nuances to avoid any misconceptions. “I also made sure that the steamy scenes were shot with a minimal crew to ensure my comfort. The director was considerate, and the scenes were filmed in a way that preserved the character’s essence and spirit,” she explains.

Directed by Mukesh Prajapathi and produced by Prashanti Malisetti, Bahishkarana, a six-episode series, has achieved 35 million streaming minutes within the first three days of its release on ZEE5.
