It’s been a while since Suriya scored a proper theatrical hit. Fans pinned a lot of hopes on the actor’s upcoming film, Kanguva. Siruthai Siva is at the helm of this period action drama. The movie is based on the past-life concept, and it is the costliest project ever in Suriya’s career.

The promotional material released to date is impressive. Even though the production house has multiple updates, fans were disappointed as the release date was not announced till now. Here is the big announcement that fans have been looking for. Kanguva will arrive in cinemas on 10th October this year.

Interestingly, Rajinikanth’s Vettaiyan, directed by TJ Gnanavel, is also scheduled for release on the same day. We need to see if the clash will be averted since releasing two biggies on the same day might cause a dent in collections.

Bobby Deol plays the nemesis of Suriya in Kanguva. Bollywood actress Disha Patani is playing the leading lady. The movie is being produced jointly by Studio Green and UV Creations. Devi Sri Prasad is composing the tunes.
