Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide in his apartment back in 2020. The actor’s father complained about the involvement of Sushant’s girlfriend, Rhea Chakraborty, and her family members in the suicide. At the request of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), the immigration authorities issued a LOC (Look Out Circular) against Rhea Chakraborty, her father, Indrajit Chakraborty, and her brother Showik.
A LOC restricts an individual from traveling to a foreign country without the prior permission of the court. Rhea Chakraborty filed a plea stating that LOC was restricting her from fulfilling her work commitments and that she was cooperating with the probe being conducted over the years. Today, the Bombay High Court quashed the LOC issued against Rhea and her family members.
The court also mentioned that the case doesn’t involve any financial fraud which could take a long time to be resolved. Also, the high court questioned the rationale for issuing the LOC against Rhea and her family. Over the last few years, Rhea hasn’t been much active in the film industry.
