The eighth season of Bigg Boss Tamil will be premiered on the Star Vijay channel on October 6. After legendary actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan announced his retirement from hosting the show, the show’s organizers have roped in acclaimed Tamil star Vijay Sethupathi to step into Kamal’s shoes. A special announcement teaser featuring the Makkal Selvan was unveiled recently.

Ever since Vijay Sethupathi came on board Bigg Boss officially, there have been non-stop speculations about his remuneration for hosting the show. The ongoing buzz in Kollywood circles reveals that Vijay Sethupathi is charging a whopping Rs 60 crore as his remuneration. The actor would be appearing during the weekends on this show, which would last for 100 days.

Vijay Sethupathi usually charges approximately Rs 15-20 crore per film, and he surely deserves this massive paycheck for hosting Bigg Boss. On the movie front, Vijay Sethupathi will next be seen in Viduthalai 2 and Gandhi Talks. The actor was rumored to have been approached for a key role in the Ram Charan-Janhvi Kapoor film, but he reportedly turned it down due to reasons unknown.
